What is different about this league?
The WDL is a league for building and developing athletes from middle school through high school boys and girls. If your athlete didn't make the school team, this is a place for them to sharpen their tools. This will push our athletes abilities, athleticism, and skills to another level. It’s not about where they start, but more about how the athlete is becoming an all around, wholesome player over time. With having the ability to get maximum playing experience on the court, as well as, getting the individual and team training needed to grow their IQ and understanding of the game, they will begin to reach the levels needed to make a strong player and team in the coming years.
What's new?
New season Layout!
This year the Waveffect Developmental League will change up the structure of the season. We want to develop our athletes in the right way, and to do that we know the players need real game time, competitive experience. This is why we are making the first part of the developmental league strictly about game specific situations the players will face during game play. The second part of the season will be all competition games, implementing what we've learned while also receiving individual and team rewards.
On top of that, we will be creating player profiles throughout the season for our middle school group. This will help players, parents, and coaches keep up with their progression.
Join the WDL Camps
Starting in 2025, the WDL will be putting on camps throughout the year to keep our athletes sharp and up on their game. These camps will last every weekend for two weeks, with each camp being tailored and themed to the skill we will be teaching.
