What is different about this league?

The WDL is a league for building and developing athletes from age 6 through 14 years old. This league is very beneficial to players, as well as coaches at the next level by having players come in and being ready to perform. Being able to start at a young age, not only learning basketball, but also learning and developing different tools along the way that will push their abilities, athleticism, and skills to another level. This  will be a building block for the athlete. It’s not about where they start, but more about how the athlete is becoming an all around, wholesome player over time. With having the ability to get maximum playing experience on the court, as well as, getting the individual and team training needed to grow their IQ and understanding of the game, they will begin to reach the levels needed to make a strong player and team in the coming years.  

This year the Waveffect Developmental League will change up the structure of the season. We want to develop our athletes in the right way, and to do that we know the players need real game time, competitive experience. This is why we are making the first part of the developmental league strictly about game specific situations the players will face during game play. The second part of the season will be all competition games, implementing what we've learned while also receiving individual and team rewards.

On top of that, we will be creating player profiles throughout the season for our middle school group. This will help players, parents, and coaches keep up with their progression. And during and after the season we will be choosing ten players from each age group to suit up and play in the official Waveffect Basketball League (WBL) themed Brave The Wave
